When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources, and help it become a better place for everyone. It’s why we’re looking for someone who sees the world in a similar way to take up an exciting Project Manager role in our well established team.

Because of our responsibility when it comes to leading change, resourcing takes every single one of us, and this is how you can play your part. And if you’re a high performing individual with a drive to successfully accomplish goals, enjoy stakeholder management and problem solving, have strong management and organisational skills and are analytically astute with attention to detail, this role will suit you perfectly.

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking to overhaul the industry, or just do a good day’s work. We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment in small and big ways, and contribute towards our inclusive culture.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Protect the business's commercial interests and manage relationships with Total Waste Management clients

  • Interpret contract documents to determine scope of work and contractual obligations

  • Clarify contract conditions, identify variations, and draft legal correspondence

  • Maintain comprehensive contract tracking systems and renewal schedules

  • Proactively notify stakeholders of upcoming renewals and key milestones

  • Support Contract Managers with annual pricing uplifts and contract reviews

  • Identify and manage commercial risks on both new and existing contracts

  • Apply Veolia legal essentials and ensure compliance through customer negotiation

  • Review tender packs to identify risks, accountabilities, and contractual issues

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies for pre- and post-tender stages

  • Lead the transition from tender awards to live project delivery

  • Support budget planning and provide accurate commercial forecasting

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with key clients and suppliers

  • Liaise effectively with operational teams, procurement, finance, and legal functions

  • Navigate complex matrix structures and engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensure team compliance with safety initiatives and actively contribute to safety targets

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree-level education in Commercial Management or equivalent extensive experience in a similar role

  • Strong understanding of various contract forms with proven ability to compile, draft, and red-line clauses for effective negotiation and risk management

  • Demonstrated experience editing contract drafts and supporting contract documentation processes

  • Proven track record in client management, stakeholder engagement, and resolving complex problems

  • Responsive and supportive approach to meeting both internal and external customer needs

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain contract tracking systems and manage multiple renewal schedules
