What you’ll be doing; 

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems across the Energy Recovery Facility

  • Inspecting, repairing and maintaining LV electrical plant, control gear, variable speed drives, pumps, fans, conveyors, overhead hoist cranes and valves

  • Working with a wide variety of instruments including pH, conductivity, ultrasonic, level, flow, pressure transmitters, proximity sensors, thermocouples and RTDs

  • Maintaining accurate files, logs and drawings for all electro-mechanical equipment using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Liaising with and overseeing suppliers and contractors carrying out electro-mechanical tasks, ensuring compliance with company procedures and safe working systems

  • Proposing and developing modifications and improvements to plant and apparatus, whilst ensuring compliance with ISO EN9001, EN14001 and EN18001 standards

 

What we're looking for;

  • A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship with a minimum ONC qualification or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a continuous process industry with detailed knowledge of electro-mechanical maintenance techniques

  • A good understanding of PLC & SCADA/DCS architecture and associated control systems

  • Familiarity with P&IDs, wiring diagrams, panel drawings and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams

  • An understanding of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and relevant environmental legislation

  • Ability to work a rota including weekend working and overtime to provide maintenance cover 365 days per year, with flexibility to attend site outside of normal hours when required

  • Experience of High Voltage Apparatus is desirable

  • A strong communicator who is self motivated, adaptable and able to work with minimum supervision
