Salary: up to £32,000 per annum plus annual bonus and Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 8am to 4.30pm

Location: Primarily at Heathrow Airport, with occasional travel to other sites as required

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct daily meter downloads (FEGP and PCA), learn designated meter reading routes, program and download data from meters using specialised software, and ensure all information is correctly sent to end users

  • Record manual readings for AMR meters as required and support the transition of paper-based meter readings to electronic format across the site

  • Investigate customer complaints related to meter readings, verify readings align with correct billing and output, and report findings to line manager

  • Conduct site-based utility assessments, gather usage information, and provide data to the central team for calculations while maintaining daily communication with line manager about workload and challenges

  • Provide advice, recommendations, and training support to junior meter readers and other team members as needed

  • Maintain up-to-date compliance training (Airside Pass, Driving, Heathrow Electrical Safety, UKPNS HV substation entry), ensure all work follows health & safety policies and procedures, and maintain professional conduct when interacting with airport passengers and clients


 

What we're looking for:

  • Full driving licence

  • Experience of utility meter reading 

  • Experience / knowledge of utility infrastructure & systems, especially electricity 

  • Comfortable with the use of IT equipment and applications, especially Microsoft Office and Google

  • Experience of Elster Smartset / PMU software

  • UKPNS HV substation entry awareness is desirable

  • Electrical Safety Rules level 1 is desirable
