Transfer Station Operative 

Salary: £13.12 per hour plus Veolia benefits 

Hours: 42.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 08:00 to 17:00

Location: Birstall, Leeds, WF17 9NF

What will you be doing? 

  • Ensuring the yard area is kept clean and tidy. 

  • Marshalling vehicle movement around the site at busy times. 

  • Operate the necessary plant equipment involved in the handling, sorting and transferring of waste 

  • Weighbridge cover

  • Assisting the Site Supervisor in day to day running of site operations.

What we're looking for;


Essential:

  • Good communication skills. 

  • Be able to work as part of a team.

  • Follow instructions, policies and procedures

Desirable:

  • Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab licence,  

  • Mobile plant experience would be beneficial

  • Reversing assistant experience.
