Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 8am to 4.30pm and standby rota of 1 week out of 3/4 

Location: Luton Airport, LU2 0LA

What you'll be doing:

  • Operate and monitor potable, foul, and surface water networks, including AMR systems, meter reading, flow/pressure monitoring, and water quality sampling

  • Identify and respond to network issues including leaks, bursts, pumping station failures, and sewer blockages to ensure continuous service

  • Plan and implement maintenance and operational activities for potable water, foul water, and surface water systems (including oil interceptors)

  • Analyze network data, update the site GIS system, and prepare reports using various media to support operational decision-making

  • Respond to customer enquiries regarding water pressure, quality concerns, and service-related issues

  • Supervise work activities and deputise for the Operations Team Manager when required

  • Participate in out-of-hours standby arrangements to provide emergency response coverage


 

What we're looking for:

  • Ability to obtain security clearance

  • Qualification or experience with water network and treatment operations

  • Good attention to detail

  • The ability to write detailed reports

  • Good understanding and awareness of regulatory aspects within the water industry, particularly in relation to water quality

  • Leakage management experience

  • Water Quality sampling experience
