Salary: £17.15 plus Veolia benefits 

Overtime is available - time & a half for weekdays & Saturdays. Double time for Sundays

Hours: 40 hours - will initially be 9am - 5pm until full operations starts next year - 2026

It will then be weekly rotating shifts 06:00am to 14:30pm and 14:30pm to 23:00pm

Location: Castle Bromwich Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) Facility, Birmingham, B35 7AG

This new processing facility receives bottom ash from off-site incineration plants, ages it, then processes it using screens and magnetic separators to recover metals and produce Incinerator Bottom Ash Aggregate (IBAA) for use in construction. This facility is equipped to manage dust and has an impermeable surface with a sealed drainage system.

What will you be doing?

• Move and load IBA (Incinerator Bottom Ash)

• Manage IBA stockpiles to minimise water ingress and optimise conditioning for processing and to  maximise storage, whilst ensuring appropriate heights and face gradients

• Direct vehicles to tipping location as required for correct stockpile management

• Stay in contact with the team on 2 way radio

• Manage quarantine procedure, ensuring IBA is only processed after results have been received indicating a pass

• Manage moisture content of IBA selected for processing by visual inspection and experience to avoid excessively wet or dry material being processed

• Monitor dust levels on the site and use telehandler to dampen down work areas as appropriate

• Complete machine hours, defect sheets and other related paperwork

 What are we looking for?

• Previous experience within a similar operational manual handling environment

• 360 excavator experience 

• Stockpile management 

• Experience in the aggregates / quarrying industry would be an advantage

• 360 excavator licence would be an advantage
