Salary: £15.84 per hour (current role holders are earning over £50,000 per annum with extras included)

-Additional hours worked during the week or Saturdays will be paid at time and a half

-Sundays and Bank Holidays are paid at double time

-Hourly uplift when working away from home, including paid accommodation and meal allowance

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 

Weekends as required plus a shared out-of-hours emergency call-out rota system

Working away from home for extensive periods on a national basis. 

Location: Brownhills, WS8 7DG

What you'll be doing;

With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services. They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day.

This role includes working away from home, sometimes for extensive periods on a national basis

  • Operating High Air Flow Machine / Specialist Vacuum Tanker Vehicles 

  • Loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste from customer sites and disposal sites 

  • Additional duties will be required such as storage tank / vessel cleaning under confined space regulations, high pressure water jetting and repackaging of hazardous materials. 

  • Dealing with plant shutdowns, trauma and crime scene cleaning, chemical emergency response, confined space and working at height rescue services. 

  • Complete daily checks of the vehicle and use the onboard technology to complete work notes

  • Comply with all traffic laws and legislation and ensure their work environment is safe and clean at all times.

What we're looking for;

  • HGV Class 1 Licence

  • An up-to-date CPC / DIGI Tachograph card

  • Valid ADR Licence (Tanks & Packages)

  • Ability to pass a medical suitable for active wearing and use of breathing apparatus due to the nature of the role
