Hours: 40 hours per week, Shift Hours – 12 Hours Per Day. Rotating shift pattern including weekends and public holidays

What you’ll be doing; 

  • Assist the Shift Team Leader with the operation and monitoring of plant from a Central Control Room.

  • Operate plant and equipment as required including, mobile plant and refuse cranes.

  • Assist in ensuring day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit.

  • Carry out routine plant inspections and adjustments / operations as required.

  • Collect and record plant data.

  • Monitor stock and take receipt of consumables / collection of residues .

  • Ensure a safe and efficient operation of all activities on site including a waste-fired high-pressure boiler, generator and associated auxiliary plant

  • First-line fault diagnosis

What we're looking for;

  • Experience of mechanical & electrical plant with experience of plant operations, ideally gained within an engineering role

  • Experience gained through working in a continuous process environment

  • Ability to operate (or train to operate) a variety of mobile equipment and fixed plant

  • Ability to work a continuous rotating shift pattern

  • Appropriate NVQ for the duties above (Desirable)
