Operations Manager - Nights

Salary: £50,000 plus bonus, company car/cash allowance and pension

Hours: 21:30 until 06:00

Location: Westminster

What you'll be doing;

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of waste collection and street cleaning services within a defined area.

  • Monitor performance against service level agreements and take corrective action as necessary to ensure compliance.

  • Manage staff resources, including scheduling, training, and personnel management.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and deployment of equipment resources.

  • Implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to coordinate waste disposal activities.

  • Responsible for the environment, health and safety and all relevant risk assessments, along with all employee relation issues.

What we're looking for;

  • Previous management experience within a similar role is required.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and deal effectively with people at different levels.

  • Strong people management skills to lead and support the team.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Analytical and numerate with a good financial understanding.

  • Report writing, communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience in the waste management sector together with experience of managing within a unionised environment is desirable.

  • NEBOSH and CPC in national road haulage would be advantageous.
