What you’ll be doing; 

  • Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including overhead cranes, rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatic's, etc. With a good understanding of 415 motors, variable speed drives & electrical switchgear.

  • Report, diagnose and remedy plant defects in a timely professional manner.

  • Propose and develop modifications/improvements to plant/apparatus as appropriate.

  • Liaise with other departments.

  • Supervise Company and Contractor staff as appropriate.

  • Maintain all work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition.

  • Carry out duties associated with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures, including audits.

  • Undertake other duties within the scope and spirit of the job as instructed by Management.

What we're looking for;

  • You will be a time served Maintenance Technician with a recognised Mechanical biased Apprenticeship, who possess detailed knowledge of all aspects of maintenance techniques.

  • Previous experience gained in a continuous process industry and electrical power generation is required to be successful in this position.  Manual handling knowledge is required

  • Possess the ability to communicate with staff at all levels, both verbally and in writing.

  • Available to be contacted, and attend site, outside of normal hours if required.

  • Ideally have knowledge of CMMS systems, ideally ‘HxGN’.

  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.

  • Flexible, with a creative approach to problem-solving
