Salary: £40,000 per annum plus company vehicle and Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week plus out of hours and weekend call out rota of 1 week in 5 

Location: Mobile across the Cheshire area

As a Mobile Mechanical Technician, you will work within a local Operations team which covers the Cheshire area, where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment including CHP units, boilers, compressors, and water treatment systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on the Utilities plant. 

  • Complete routine operational tasks to comply with legislation and company procedures. 

  • Effective completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on a range of mechanical systems. 

  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance and publication of plant quality records and reports. 

  • Implementing Safe Systems of Work to include production of Permit to Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements in accordance with company procedures. 

  • Ensure compliance with the company’s health and safety, quality and environmental procedures.


 

What we're looking for:

  • An engineering time served apprenticeship qualification and ONC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. 

  • Experience of carrying out multi-skilled maintenance and fault finding on industrial utilities plants.

  • Knowledge of Combined Heat & Power Plant, Steam Boiler plant to aid operations, maintenance and fault finding.

  • Experience producing Health & Safety documentation such as Method Statement / Risk Assessments for tasks.

  • Knowledge of SCADA (BMS / PMS) and PLC systems. 

  • Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Water Treatment plant & equipment such as Effluent Treatment, Process Water, Boiler Water. 

  • You will ideally possess qualifications in some of the following areas – IOSH / CSCS Safety or equivalent, Confined Space, BOAS or equivalent, Steam Systems, Legionella Awareness, Industrial Gas Qualifications, IPAF / PASMA, Welding & Fabrication / Pipefitting.
