Area Fleet Manager

Salary: £60,000 per annum, plus bonus and car/car cash allowance, enhanced pension and other Veolia benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week 

Location: The Shropshire area

What you'll be doing;

  • Manage the teams to ensure the safety & well-being of all employees and those affected by our operations

  • Maintain strong & mutual business relationships, be the source of advice and support for your team and business colleagues, always being approachable & receptive

  • Ensure fleet management standards are maintained and areas of improvement are prioritised

  • Demonstrate the fleet management requirements that need to be delivered and maintained whilst understanding and acting on development needs

  • Management of P&L for fleet maintenance, adding value to the regional business activity through vigorous cost control, taking ownership and managing the fleet budget process and performance.

  • Support location managers to deliver services compliantly and in line with the VMR toolkit standard 

  • Support the Head of Fleet with improvement projects

  • Maintain effective relationships with vehicle and service suppliers and regulatory bodies, including VOSA, Police, HSE and EA

What we're looking for;

Essential:

  • Experience in Leading and developing people in a vehicle maintenance environment

  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)

  • IOSH Managing Safely

  • Road transport engineering qualifications.

  • Professional membership of an affiliated transport association

Desirable:  

  • Level 5 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience
