Team Leader (Street Cleansing and Waste collections)

Salary£18.40 per hour, plus Veolia benefits, monthly bonus allowance

Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 14.30 till 23.00

Location - Marsh Road, Alperton Lane, Wembley, Middlesex, HA0 1ES

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist the Service Delivery Manager to ensure that the daily checking of vehicles and any other assets are completed at the commencement and during each shift and that the appropriate forms/E-documents are correctly completed. 

  • Ensure all staff are given the appropriate worksheet, round/beat sheet and map relating to their specific daily tasks with any amendments or variations and that they fully understand these tasks 

  • Ensure all staff have the correct level of tools and equipment in a serviceable condition to carry out their duties. 

  • Ensure that any accident involving any employee, vehicle or equipment is fully investigated and that all documentation is produced and presented to your Manager 

  • Undertake daily contract monitoring surveys and assist with generating associated reports as necessary 

  • Assist the Manager in ensuring that all vehicles, items of plant and equipment are cleansed at least weekly or as shown in the cleansing schedule 

  • On completion of daily work, ensure that the workforce has been correctly signed off, all routes, maps, worksheets and log sheets are returned and duly completed and signed.

  • Provide cover for the Manager as and when necessary 

What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Supervisory/management experience.

  • Good It knowledge/skills 

  • ​Previous experience within a similar role would be advantageous.

  • ​Must be flexible in both hours of work and attitude as the job demands.

Desired:

  • HGV Class 2 licence 

  • Previous waste management experience
