What you'll be doing;
Plan and deliver preventative maintenance programs, overhauls, and planned shutdowns while managing budgets and minimising downtime
Respond to emergency breakdowns using diagnostic expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions quickly
Manage and coordinate maintenance subcontractors, ensuring compliance with site procedures and quality requirements
Monitor and maintain strict adherence to health & safety legislation, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems
Maintain accurate maintenance records, audit trails, and equipment histories using CMMS, plus manage spares inventory and stock control
What we're looking for;
Time-served engineer with completed apprenticeship and City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (ideally mechanical bias)
Manufacturing/production background in medium to heavy engineering - processing plants, production facilities, or recycling operations
Hydraulics expertise - hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic systems and components
Mobile plant experience - working with conveyors, material handling systems, automated machinery, or production equipment
Multi-skilled capability (desirable) - background in both mechanical AND electrical engineering disciplines
Full UK driving licence (desirable) - occasional travel to other sites may be required
